Product Overview
Natural Factors Vitamin K and D combines 2 fat soluble vitamins into one convenient soft gel. The form of Vitamin K is K2 (menaquinone-7, or MK-7, from natto bean), an advanced, fat-soluble form of vitamin K that serves multiple functions in the body. Vitamin K dependent proteins in our bones have revealed this vitamin's most important function is aiding bone development by acting as a regulator and director of calcium in the tissues. Vitamin D has long been considered a classic nutrient for bone metabolism. It supports bone development and is needed for calcium absorption. Vitamin K and D uses vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), a natural form of vitamin D that is safer and more biologically active than D2 (ergocalciferol), a synthetic form of vitamin D. Evidence shows that vitamins K2 and D3 work synergistically to improve bone density. Those taking anticoagulant medication should consult their physicians before taking any supplements with Vitamin K.
- SUPPORT FOR HEALTHY BONES: Combining vitamins D and K may provide even better support than the individual nutrients for bone and vascular health.
- MULTIPLE NUTRIENTS IN ONE EASY DOSE: Combines 2 fat soluble vitamins into one convenient soft gel.
- LOCAL, ORGANIC, AND NON-GMO: Because Natural Factors Farms are certified organic, we don't pollute the earth with pesticides and chemical fertilizers. We grow true species non-hybridized, non-GMO seeds, including many open-pollinated varieties. Growing locally also helps reduce the carbon emissions from overseas transportation, and keep jobs in the community.
- JUST THE RIGHT SIZE: We believe we need to be big enough to do it right. We are one of the only nutritional companies to have our own organic farms, our own extraction, encapsulation, and production facilities, our own labs and research facilities. We are also one of the few branded manufacturers of nutraceuticals in North America to have our own soft gel encapsulation facility.
- WHERE GREAT HEALTH BEGINS: Today, Natural Factors is one of the largest manufacturers of nutritional products in North America. But our origins reach back to the 1950s, and right from day one, we've always been fully committed to making products right. We are not a public company with shareholders to impress. Instead, we care about impressing you.
